Native to the West Indies and Central America, Allspice's name is derived from the fact the taste is described as a combination of such spices as Cloves, Juniper Berries, Cinnamon & Pepper. Even though it is most popularly used in cakes, cookies, pickling liquids, stews & meat dishes, medicinally, Allspice is used to stimulate digestion, improve the appetite and to generally strengthen the stomach. It is also used as a flavoring agent for bitter teas and to lessen the purgative effects of strong laxatives.
Common use: Indigestion; gas; aromatic stimulant; culinary spice.
Suggested Directions: As an addition to the diet, take 1 or 2 capsules, three times daily with water at mealtimes.
